Introduction to MineSight for Geology - 3D Block Models
This course is a basic introduction to MineSight for geology users. It introduces MineSight 3D, MineSight Torque drillhole and blasthole manager, and the programs and procedures accessed by MineSight Compass, with an emphasis on geology and 3D block models.
We recommend taking this course first, if you intend to primarily use MineSight for geomodeling. It covers project setup, data flow, and process requirements. Complete the course, and you will know how to navigate the MineSight 3D and MineSight Compass interfaces, initialize projects, perform CAD functions (creating and editing points, polylines, polygons etc.), design drillholes, import geological assay, and geotechnical drillhole data, composite data, display drillholes and drillhole data in 3D, outline geological units in sections and in 3D, interpolate data to create block models, visualize data in 3D-block models, perform basic data statistics and reserves calculations, and plot sections and plan views.
