MineSight for Short Term Planning - Start to Finish
This course is for MineSight users who have an intermediate knowledge of MineSight 3D and want an extensive knowledge of MineSight’s short term planning methodology and tools. Advanced case studies involving the interaction between MineSight Schedule Optimizer (MSSO), MineSight Interactive Planner, MineSight Haulage, (MSHaulage), and the MineSight Planning Database are discussed and practiced.
This class may be taken as a complete MineSight for short term planning course, assuming you have a solid knowledge of MineSight 3D. Otherwise the sequence of Introduction to MineSight for Short Term Planning followed by Advanced MineSight for Short Term Planning is recommended. This will include a review of the database setup and functions of this tool followed by a review of designing, importing and editing of polygons and other geometry data. A general review of the Autoslicer functions will also be covered, along with reporting reserves and plotting. The course continues with an introduction to the MineSight Blast Pattern Editor. It will also explore the options available in MSHaulage and MSSO. The application of MSHaulage includes generation of haulage profiles, material routing reports and cycle time files. MSSO will be used for short- and medium-term production planning to generate an optimum mining schedule in each period using multiple mining areas, multiple processes, and multiple destinations and blending requirements. The optimum schedule achieves the period objective satisfying comprehensive product quality and quantity requirements, as well as physical and technical constraints.
